  • 1918-08-14 Married.
  • 1930-07-01 Wallace, 'farmer of Spring Grove', leased Beacon Hill for 5 years from the Paton aunts; Sybil came to look after them and they shared the house.
  • 1937-04-21 Bought Beacon Hill (257 acres) from the Paton estate.
  • 1940 'When all the old people had gone, we took off the top storey and added on to the ground area to make a more compact and modern house.' (Sybil)
  • 1958-08-13 Wallace transferred a half share of Beacon Hill to Bruce.
