- 1829-06-05 Baptised by I. Felix. S03 names as godfathers 'his grandfathers' Major Browne and Major-General Stafford, and Dr Mercer, with his grandmother Eliza Browne as godmother. Lt-Gen Hugh Stafford had died in 1819, so the Major-General Stafford was probably his uncle, John Howard Stafford.

- 1857 33rd Bengal Native Infantry; killed in action in the Indian Mutiny (Sybil Dron: died at Delhi).
